Shorr is best known for his massive successes in the online poker tournament scene. His first significant payday was 4th place in the 2006 Aussie Millions, in which he took home a whopping price of $199,129.

He withdrew from studying civil engineering at the University of Alabama in 2006 to play professional poker, returned to his studies in 2008, and graduated in 2010.

In December 2013, Shannon Shorr was honored at #7 on GPI’s “Poker Player of the Decade” list.

He cashed 70 times at the WSOP and has 4 WPT final tables to his name.
