Gene Winfield teaching welding and fabrication skills to students and others at nearly 95 years old
Gene Winfield traveled to the Willamina high school in Oregon. He arrived at the high school to teach students and other community members welding and fabrication skills. Gene was 94 years old and soon to be 95 when taught this class. He had some help from his friend Jimmy. He demonstrated some welding and metal fabrication tricks. He also demonstrated the use of lead for a body filler. He taught class for two days and was on his feet most of the time while teaching. There was also a small car show in the evening at Sprit Mountain Casino where appeared as a guest and signed autographs. He was pretty tired by the end of the second day but in good sprits.
