Cycling Northern Thailand // Chiang Mai to the Laos Border // World Bicycle Touring Episode 38
From Chiang Mai, we took some of the busiest highways we’d cycled in Thailand to go further north. The riding conditions improved a lot once we reached the farming valleys of Fang and Tha Ton, and we took an incredible dirt road route into Chiang Rai. We had a break from the bikes in Chiang Rai before heading to the Golden Triangle and traveling along the Mekong River to the border with Laos.
